I received an email today from Pink Petticoat about a new Download - 'Lola Rose Bubbly' which of course I had to buy and these gorgeous images were perfect for this week challenge.
Here's my card - papers and image (Pink Petticoat) and the sentiment I did on the computer.

I'VE LOST MY MOJO !! HAS ANYONE SEEN IT

I definately lost my MOJO tonight !!!

I thought I'd make a card for this week challenge at Papertake Weekly - 'Green and Blue'

I had an idea but it just wasn't happening. I really wanted to use this gorgeous paper (which i cant remember where its from - sorry !!) and give myself a break from PP, but just couldn't get it together.
Well after much thought and frustration and hours later, I made something very simple, which in the end worked better than my original idea. And thanks to Leann - for my blog candy, the green satin spotty ribbon worked really well.

How amazed was I, when I received this wonderful award from Cynthia at 'Rainbow Lady', and would like to say a massive thankyou Cynthia for this amazing honour. For little old me who has only been crafting for less than 6 months and started making my first batch of Christmas cards last year and got hooked, I am overwhelmed by this award.

I too have so many of you that are an inspiration to me, and would love it pass it to you all, but Im told I can only pass to 5 (sorry!!!)

So here's to you ladies:

Cynthia http://rainbowladyscraftyblog.blogspot.com/ for making my day yesterday, for your wonderful creations and for all your help.

Leann http://leanns-ramblings.blogspot.com/ who's creations are fabulous and who always makes me smile.

Marlou http://scrappingwithlove.blogspot.com/ who visits my blog often and leaves such beautiful comments that brighten my day, and who's work is also fabulous.

Andrea's http://andreabrownjohn.blogspot.com/ another regular to my blog who always makes me smile with her kind comments, and who's works is the cutiest ever.

To all you ladies, thankyou all for your inspiration and for always making me smile :-) xx

PTW - Spring In Your Step

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.

Todays challenge at Papertake Weekly is -

'Spring in your step!' is to make a card (or other item!) with a spring theme! Easter and Mother's Day both fall early this year, it seemed a good theme! It also fits with the fantastic prize we have up for grabs! Our new sponsor Sally at Aunty's Store has kindly offered us a set of her gorgeous bunny stamps!

I made this card with some lovely new paper I brought today, which tied in nice for this challenge. And another new stamp - Lola isn't she cute.
As my mum doesn't visit my site without being at my house, I think I might save this one for my wonderful mum.

Thanks for stopping by and thankyou to everyone for all your kind comments :-)

Pink Cat Studio - New Stamps

Another delivery of new stamps, and thought I'd have a little play. These Pink Cat Studio - Kitty Stamps are just gorgeous.

I made this for my friend as she is a glamour puss:
Thanks for stoping by :-)

Tilda & Co Challenge

Oh I'm so excited, I received my new Tilda's on Friday and have been waiting patiently to use them. I have been searching high and low for these for some weeks, as they are just adorable but very hard to come by.
So now it's Sunday I can join in on the Tilda & Co Challenge - Here's what you have to do:
'Challenge 7 – String-Aling!
String, I would like to see the use of string on your Art Work, Be it a bit of trying holding the project together,
or what about it being the main focus of the work? or even could be used as a hanger to hang your project up. there is many uses of string on artwork ,
so please get exploring and see what you can come up with.
I decided you use a colour scheme I've not used much, but love it -Pink and Brown. The paper I got from my local craft shop but have not had a chance to use yet. The string I attached through eyelets to give a handle effect. I must admit I didn't have much string and had trouble finding this small piece, but I think it works ok. I have sewed a button in the centre of 2 flowers which I is a first time for me.
So here's what I made - thanks for stopping by:

Marie Curie Campaign

Well I finished my cards for MCC and thought I'd put them on a slide, they are now all packed up and ready to post tomorrow. I must admit I have had them ready all week but just haven't had the chance to pack them and sort out this slide.

I made quite basic cards, as adviced by a fellow crafter and thats why I made 12 of them, and its all for a good charity.

As the resident Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators Keryn Campbell (NZ) and Rachel Booth (UK) have supplied Stampin' Up!(R) product and images to the design team to help them in their quest for the perfect 'love and friendship' themed card. Please click on the links above for other specials a
nd offers they have running alongside this dare.

I went shopping for some new papers yesterday from my local craft store and wanted something to make my Mothers Days Cards for my mum and mother-in-law (to be). So I wanted something special and found this gorgeous paper by Daisy Bucket Designs. I was going to save this lovely paper for them but decided to make this card for DCM challenge and make something for my mum to give to her Best Friend (my Auntie Anne) who she has known for over 35 years now. She is such a wonderful lady and thought she deserved something nice. (I guess I'll be going shopping again for some more of this paper)

Nicolas Sketch (My Paperworld) # 4

Hey everyone, hope you had a good Valentines Day and received lots of nice things.

I came across 'Nicola's Sktech (My Paperworld) Challenge and thought I'd have a go.
Heres what I made:

Thursday, 14 February 2008

Pink Cat Studio

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY everyone, hope your all having a wonderful day.
Well guess what was on the mat when I came home from work tonight, (no not flowers)

My wonderful partner surprises me with flowers throughout the year when I least expect them (like two weeks ago) here see (and this is only 1 of the 2 vases)

which I think is more wonderful than when he's expected to buy them. Not wanting to sound a misery, but as someone who dabbles in florist part-time, I am fully aware of the outragous cost of roses on this wonderfully romantic day, so don't insist that he buys them. He is however taking me out for a romantic dinner, and you never know he may surprise me again.

Anyway this is what I received:

Yes my Cat Stamps from 'Pink Cat Studio' - oh I'm so excited to give them ago, but i guess that will have to wait for the weekend.
Have a wonderful evening :-)

This weeks challenge over at http://artygirlzchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ is Stamping. This weeks challenge is sponsored by Paper Artzy and one lucky person will be randomly selected to win a prize. Check out the link to see the fabulous prizes up for grabs.

I don't have many stamps in my collection yet, (but have been shopping online lately - and just waiting in anticipation for them to arrive). I do however have a few Penny Black Stamps that I just love and used one for this challenge.

I stamped 'Daisy Surprise' twice and embossed with 'Rainbow Crystal Transparent', and then cut out the 2nd rope and flower and fixed with a 3d pad. I used glitter on the flower (although it doesn't show clearly on picture) and used a sentiment that can be used for a variety of occassions.

Thanks for stopping by :-)

Heart's Desire

Oh my I have been a busy little bee !!! 2 cards in one night !!

I'm on a roll, so and created this card for the: Papertake Weekly Challenge: 'Heart's Desire!'.

Please could we see some hearts (or a heart lol!) on your cards this week? Already done your Valentine's cards? How about doing a Wedding / Anniversary / engagement or birthday card! We don't mind which - as long as there's a heart or two...or three.....!!!

So I decided to do something easy, a style that Ive done previously (but not used on any challenge) as I have had a few glasses of wine now, and chilling rather nicely. If you have not read my previous blog, I can assure you I dont have a drink problem, just a hectic stressful week !!! :-)

Well here's my card - thanks for looking. (sorry about the colour, hasn't photographed as well as I wanted)

I used one of my many 'PennyBlack' stamps, using black and red textured card and glitter ribbon.

Have a good weekend
Tracie x

DCM - Red and White

Hi All

Its been a very busy week, and a very stressful one at that!! So when I came home from work I needed to relax. So first I poured myself a nice large glass of wine and after a while thought I'd have a go at this weeks 'Daring Cardmakers Challenge'.

I have visited the blog many times in the last few weeks, and seen all the lovely work everyone does, but have never managed to get any of the challenges done in time. So Im pleased that this is my first challenge (and you made it an easy one this week!!)

The challenge is to design a card using only RED AND WHITE on your cards- it doesn't have to be a Valentine themed card - it can be any theme- as long as use incorporate RED and WHITE on it.

So here's what I made:

I used a variety of red backing paper by 'Pink Petticoat' - doodle-icioys rainbow collection (which I love, yummy !!)

Hope you like it, and thanks for stopping by.
