Sarah Kay Weekly Challenge - Purple + Green

When I first saw this weeks Sarah Kay Weekly Challenge - Purple + Green, I really wasn't sure if I was able to participate as the only papers I have that have both purple and green in them I had already used on my Sketch Saturday card and really didn't want to use them again.

So after much thinking I finally chose one of my favourite papers from Basic Grey and added a little purple along the way, and some lace - of course, lol

Have a great day everyone, TFL x

Friday Sketchers + ASFOS

Hi everyone hope your having a lovely day. Its good to see the rain has finally stopped after waking up to a massive thunder storm this morning - so what better way to spend the day than dabbling in a little crafting.

I finally got to a make a card for A Spoonful Of Sugar - 3 Ribbons and this weeks Friday Sketchers.

I'm not one to colour an image before I pick the papers, but I was experimenting at the time with me new Pro Markers and as she has been sitting around for the past couple of days I finally decided to use her - but then I hit a wall.... what papers to use !!! I'll never do that again... Im sure we've all said that, lol. Anyway after much delibration I finally came up with this:

I wish my photography skills were better, as when I use red it never comes out on the pic as it looks in real life - the red is a much deeper red, and not so bright.

Not my usual colour scheme, but I had fun with it anyway and was happy with the end result.

Have a great day everyone, TFL x

Saturday Sketch

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying the BH weekend - its so nice to have an extra day off work.

This week at Saturday Sketch #13 Jo is looking for DT members and has asked for those interested to make two projects with this fabulous sketch - 1 has to be a xmas theme and the other any theme.

For my 1st card I thought I used one of my new Whiff Of Joy stamps - Angel Charlotte and coloured her with my new Pro Markers, which I love - but think I need more practice, especially with the shading !!! The papers are from Daisy Bucket Designs, which I adore and will definately be popping back to my Craft shop to stock up for xmas.

And here's a close up - sorry the pics are a bit dark, no sunshine here today !!!

The second card is open for any occassion, I replaced the sentiments with flowers - hope this is ok Jo. The cute image is Sarah Kay and she is one of my fabourites. I've used my Pro Markers again and couldn't resist a little lace on this card too.

Have a great day everyone, TFL x

Friday Sketchers + Cute Card Thursday

Hi everyone hope your all having a good weekend. Well I had a little play last night with my new toy - Janome M100 sewing machine and although it was a bit tricky at first I got the hang of it. Not being used to an electric sewing machine, having used my dear nan's faithful Singer for years (which must be older than I) it was quite a challenge, but Im sure as my nan looks down on me she'll be proud. Thanks to my friend Jacqui for the info on this fab toy.

So anyway I made this card for Friday Sketchers + Cute Card Thursday - Soft Furnishing. I'm so glad I managed to combine this card, as I've missed so much of CCT and was feeling so guilty at not joining in and missed it too.

I received my new gorgeous Whiff Of Joy stamps on Thursday but have not had the time to play till last night - aren't they cute, this one is Winter Charlotte with Cat. I still think my colouring needs some practice - not entirley happy with the result. The stitching is a bit wonky but with practice Im sure it'll get better, but I had fun making it and I guess that the main thing, lol

Have a great evening, TFL x

Penny Black Saturday - Ribbons

Hi everyone hope you've all had a good week. Well its Saturday and time for Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Firstly we'd like to thank everyone who joined us last week for Tracy's fabulous sketch - what a massive response and such wonderful work by you all.

This weeks challenge is Ribbons.... And we have a fab prize this week kindly donated by our new sponsor Pollycraft.

This week I made a gate fold card, as I wanted to use this rather cute Kitty and make another pink girly card and as the image is rather big its perfect for a gatefold. I know the theme is Ribbons and although I used ribbons on the flower, button and tie I thought I'd add a little extra by making a lace boarder around the image, thought it set off the image nicely.

Don't forgot to check out all the DT's work this week, they work is stunning

Have a great day, TFL x

Sketch Saturday & Papertake Weekly

Hi everyone, hope your having a good week. I finally got round to joining in on one of Jo's fabulous sketches at Sketch Saturday.

Ok brace yourself........ no lace and no crochet flowers........... ok now you've picked your self up off the floor, your probably going to ask, are you feeling ok Tracie, lol.... I am, just thought I'd have a change. For those of you that know me, you'll understand what Im whaffling about, lol x

But there is lots of PINK !!!!

I started my card for Sketch Saturday and was going to combin it with Stamp Something, but half way through I decided I didn't want to add blue to the colour combo. But when I saw this weeks challenge at Papertake Weekly - Buttons, I thought it would be perfect.

Be sure to check out both challenges, the DT's have made fabulous cards.

Have a good week, TFL x

A Couple of Cards

Hi everyone hope you've had a good day. Well I had a good crafting weekend, haven't done that in a while.

My first card is for Sarah Kay Challenge - 3 Buttons + 3 Gems.

I decided to go outside my comfort zone on this one - no girlie colours , lol And as I'd picked up these papers a while ago but never used them I thought it was about time I did. They're by K & Co brought at my local craft shop, not something I would have brought 3 months ago, but been trying new things lately - if you hadn't noticed, lol

The cute little charms you'll find at Krafty Crafts and yes I used my lace again, I know Im addicted, lol but i did add a little pink ribbon too, wanted to bring out the pink in the papers, added this right at the last minute but not sure it goes well with the buttons now. Oh well that'll teach me to chance things last minute without thinking about it, lol

My second card is for Tilda + Co Challenge that have a fab Sketch this week and a wonderful prize too, be sure to check it out.

The cute Tilda was kindly sent to me by a very good friend - thanks Tracy x

The new lace I picked up today in Hobby Crafts, I can't believe that I didn't realise they sell lace, lol. The lace I normally use I brought in a shop near my mums and she live over 80 miles away, so Im sure you'll understand my joy when I managed to pick some up today in HC and I brought 4 different types - I know Im addicited, lol

Have a great week everyone, TFL x

Stamp Something - Thank You

Hi everyone, hope your having a good day. I'm having a real lazy one today, as the weather is not so good will probably end up having a day of crafting, lol not done that in a while.

Wow I can't believe how quick I made this card and how long it's been since I made a card for Stamp Something, this weeks theme is to make Thank You card. I went for all girlie again and used reds which I dont use that often, but had fun anyway.

Not sure my picture has come out as well as I would have liked, but it is a bit dark here today.

Have a great day and Happy Crafting, TFL x

Friday Sketchers has another fabulous sketch by Kimmie and I can't beleive I actually managed to make a card this side of the weekend. After no pink on PBSC this week, I'm sure you can guess a girl like me can not go long without pink, lol

Im also entering my card in this weeks challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar - Animal Magic, I know its not all animal but there is a cute little dog in there.

Have a great weekend, TFL x
