A Spoon Full of Sugar + Friday's Sketch

Hope everyone has had a good day, I haven't had much time to craft today, as I've been shopping... yes for crafting goodies. I got lost in the moment and was out for about 4 hours, and spent far too much money as usual but got all the essentials I was looking for. New backing papers, which I've been desperate for, although I love the PP downloads its nice to have a change. I also got some watercolour pencils, which I haven't worked with since I was at school, oh that brings back memories. And lots of other bits and pieces.

Anyway I did find time this afternoon to make a card for A Spoon Full of Sugar and Fridays Sketch. I used my lovely new stamp from SN - Sweet Ebony and coloured her with my new water colour pencils. The backing paper is from Paper Mania - Antique Cream and the flowers and buttons are from my stash. I used a piece of decorative wire, which I've had since my floristy days and have come in real handy with my cards. The sentiment is from Hero Arts - clear designs.

Have a great weekend - TFL x

I chose simple for my card, as I didnlt have much time last night to make this card, but was very excited to use one of my new Tilda stamps - isn't she cute. I so love these new Tildas and can't wait to have a go with the others - I brought 6 in all, I know I was rather naughty but I couldn't resist and Im sure you're all with me on this, lol.

I've coloured Tilda with a mixture of chalks and tombo pens which I watercoloured. The papers, flowers, button lace, and ribbon are all from my stash and I cant remember where its all from, sorry !!

Hi everyone hope you've all had a good day, well for once Im glad I was at work the weather here in London is terrible its been raining on + off all day. Lets hope the sun comes out at the weekend :)

Well anyway, I've been tagged by Beth - My Little Card Blog.

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

Here goes!

Papertake Weekly - One For The Fella's

Hi everyone hope you've all had a good day. Back to work today :( oh well its nearly the weekend again and Im counting the days.

I made this card last night for Papertake Weekly Challenge - One For The Fella's and thought I it was time to make my first Fathers Day Card. I chose one of the Sporty George downloads from Charmed Cards + Crafts as my dad likes golf and thought it would give him a little laugh - as it looks nothing like him and I knew he'd find it amusing, lol. I've coloured George in Sakura Gel Pens, the papers are Dovercraft - Masculine, the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and the brads from Poppicrafts. And even managed to find a golf ball brad, although you can't see it very well in the picture.

PTW - Sketch 3 + Tilda and Co - Beads of Glory

Hi everyone hope you all had a good weekend. I went to see my mum and we had a lovely weekend, quite relaxing for a change.

Meet Becky my mum and dads beautiful dog, here she is relaxing in the garden enjoying the bit little sun we had on Sunday.

Ok onto my card, I made a card yesterday for 2 challenges - having to combine challenges again this week as there never seems enough days in the week lately to do everything.
The challenges are for Tilda + Co - Beads of Glory, I never made a card with beads before so this was fun. The 2nd challenge is for Papertake Weekly - Katharina's Sketch 3 - and what a fab sketch it is

I made this card for a friends birthday. The papers are by Daisy Bucket Designs brought at my local craft shop, I just love these as there are 4 paper designs on 1 sheet so they were perfect for this challenge and perfect for the occasion. The lace I brought whilst out shopping with my mum at the weekend and feel in love with it. The Beads are also from my local craft shop and the bloom from my stash. The gorgeous crochet flower was in my gift package from Michelle at Poppicrafts - I just love these, there so cute and I must buy some.

Here my card:

I want to say thank you to all the lovely comments that everyone left on my last 2 cards. I am still trying to get round to see you all, but after a busy week and weekend Im a bit behind, so apologisies and please bear with me I'll be over to see you soon.
Have a good week, TFL x

Challenges

Hi hope everyone has had a good week, its been a busy one for me so I haven't had a chance to do many challenges, so tonight I made 2 cards for six challenges. I can't believe I actually incorporated 3 challenges on each card, but glad I did and had so much fun doing it. I really wanted to participate in all these challenges but didn't think I'd find the time to do 6 cards, as Im off to see my mum tomorrow for the weekend, so I hope I haven't cheated in any way, lol.

I love this colour combo and will be definately be using it again, so thankyou to Papertake Weekly for that - I had loads of fun. The papers are from Pink Petticoat and I used my cuttlebug to emboss the lilac paper, hope its ok that I also used black. I love this Sugar Nellie - Bunnie stamp and used her for the Daring Card Makers Challenge and the thank you sentiment is for Stamp Something.

I hope I haven't scrapped the barrel here with Cute Card Thursday but thought hedgie was enjoying his vacation lazing in the sun, lol.

If want to visit all these wonderful challenges, just click on the links and see all the lovely creations from the DT girls.
If I don't manage to get to leave a message for all tonight, I will try whilst at my mum's but will be sure to catch up next week.

Have a great weekend and happy crafting x

Tilda + Friends ATC - Grren

Hi everyone - OMG what a mad week its been and not much time to craft :(

But i did decided I needed to do something tonight as after a really busy week at work i needed some crafting therapy and this ATC did just the trick. Its for Tilda + Friends ATC - Green

I used the backing papers from Funky Hand (ATC) which are fab for these challenges but did chose more pink then green, sorry I couldn't resist. lol. But have managed to colour Tilda in more green which a mixture of Chalks and Sakura Pens. The ribbon and button is from Poppicrafts (where else!!) and the flower and gems from my stash.

This has got to be the quickest ATC I've made but think it came together well and I had fun - which is what is all about after all.

Thanks for looking and wish you all have a happy Friday.

Tilda + Co - Black + White

Hi hope everyone has had a good day, and enjoyed the sunshine - not me :( back to work today and my desk was overloaded with paperwork, arrrhhhh !!! I think its gonna take me for ever to catch up... must get one of my girls to do my job when I'm not there.

Anyway enough of my misery, I made a card tonight to relax from a stressful day. This card is for Tilda + Co Challenge - Black + White. Yeah, my favourite.... so i had lots of fun with this. I stamped Tilda on to white card and then paperpieced her dress and bow with PP papers that i used on my card. All the papers are of course Pink Petticoat and the flowers and ribbon are from Poppicrafts (where else !!!) I threaded a piece of satin ribbon through the flowers in place of a brad, I like this effect, but not sure you can see it that well on the picture. And finished off with bow attached to a tag.

Sorry my technique at explaining how I made this card is not great, but hope you all got it ok.

Have a good week, and happy crafting.

Friday Sketchers #1

Yeah another new Challenge Site - Fridays Sketch. I just love these new challenges and as I've been off today it gives me a chance to have more of a play than I normally would. And I really love doing sketches as it gives me more inspiration

If you haven't heard of the new fabulous blog, then go visit them here and check out at all the wonderful creations the designers have made. They're also offering a fabulous stampset called "Gretchen" which has been donated by Korin, from Sweet' n Sassy Stamps

So here's this weeks sketch:

For this card I used my fabbie papers DCWV - Retro Prints as I wanted to make something colourful, which I don't do often so was a bit of a challenge. The cute image was sent to me by a lovely friend Becky, and I loved this Maggie image so much I just ordered her and one other, I know too much spending but I couldn't resist she's so cute, lol. I coloured her with Tombo pens - some watercoloured, but not sure if I did her much justice. The cute buttons, flowers and ribbon are all from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Stamp Something - First Somethings

Hi everyone, I've had another day off work today as I've not been well but am feeling much better and decided to have a play with a couple of new images and papers.

Then I saw the theme for the first challenge at Stamp Something - First Somethings

Challenge yourself to try something entirely new. Attempt a new layout or color combination or a new technique or fancy fold/card style that you've been wanting to try but have been putting off. You could also just keep with the theme of "Firsts" and make a card for a first birthday, a first baby, a first house, a first car, or any other first you can think of. Keep it as simple or as complicated as you'd like.

When I started posting there cards for this challenge, I thought they were perfect as there's lots of Firsts in these two cards, then realised theres no stamping, dah !!! lol...think this sickness bug has made me loopy... So I went back and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on the first card - sorry its not much stamping, I'll try something else later if its not ok.

For this card I used the new image from Pink Petticoat - Your Never To Old To Be A Rock Star, isn't he fab. The papers are also new, thought it was about time I brought some male papers and these are great - Dovercraft: Masculine. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment with a stamp I have for ages.

The second card is also a new image, Pink Petticoat - Cheekies, but no stamping :-( thought I'd post it anyway as I do like this one best as its girly and all my favourite colour combo.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cute Card Thursday - Gems and Jewels

Hi hope everyone is enjoying the fabulous weather we are having.

I made two cards today for Cute Card Thursday - Gems and Jewels. They have a fabulous prize for one randomly chosen person, a selection of Zoomz which Kay from The Stamp Galaxy has very kindly sent to them.

Both cards I have used some fabbie papers that are design by a very special friend Tracy, how talented is she. I also used the fabbie Daisy stamp from Poppicrafts, I think she's super cool and thats why after playing with one card I decided to make two and of course I wanted to use some more of Tracy's lovely papers.

The first card I added 3 gems at the top left corner and 3 at the bottom left corner.

The second card I added 3 gems to the centre of the flowers.

Tilda + Friends ATC - Bugs

This is my ATC for this weeks challenge at Tilda + Friends ATC - Bugs

I used Magnolia grass and Tilda which have been coloured in with my new Sakura Gelly Rolls pens, which I love as they are glittery. The grass has been stamped directly onto white card and Tilda stuck onto the card with 3d stix pads. I dont have any bugs from Magnolia so I used the bees and ladybird from 2 Penny Black stamps, cut them out and stuck also with 3d stix pads.

This is the first little scene I've made and think it turned out ok, but I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks for stopping by :-)x
