Ok Girls Kath Needs Your Help

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been about much this week, its been one of those weeks.

Ok girls my friend Kath needs your help - here's why:

I need a big favour from you all - a dear friend of mine who is also a keen crafter has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and is undergoing treatment at the moment - a great lady with lots of spirit and a great sense of humour. The treatment for this terrible disease can be harrowing to say the least and she has found great support from her local Maggie's Centre. To show her appreciation she thought it might be an idea to take along some cards that they can sell to raise money to enable them to continue their wonderful work.COULD I MAKE A CARD?.... Of course I will, in fact, a lot more than one...but this is where I need your help....if you could each make ONE card...what a difference it would make.....so come on girls...we are all at risk from this terrible disease...so I am counting on you. Here is the deal...you e-mail me (you will find it on my profile) and I will send you my address, send the card to me here and I will forward them to my friend. Now it's only fair that there is a little incentive here to get your mojo going....I will create a post at the top of my blog and when I receive your card...I will list your name and at the end of July, a name will be chosen at random and there will be some fab goodies for the lucky winner.P.S. Card with envelope and if possible a cello bag all ready to be sold......I am counting on you all..don't want my friend to think that I am "BILLY NO MATES".

Please pop over to Kaths blog and lets help support her friend.

Have a good evening x

I've made a card for this weeks challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar - Celebrations
This is a new card design for me and I can honestly say I had so much fun, I should be more adventurous in future. I didn't like the outcome at first but I added the pale pink flower under the hot pink one, I think it turned out ok.

The gorgeous 'Sweet Ebony' stamp has been coloured using my Primas and Sansador. The papers are by Sandy Lion Designs - Dreamland Flowers, and the flowers, ribbon and button from Poppicrafts.

The inside: The papers are from Basic Grey - Two Scoops and the boarder has been stamped using Studio G - clear stamps. I have softened the edged of the scalloped circle with Colour Box bruh pad - Rosebud, but its not showing up very clearly in the pic. The sentiment stamp is also from Hero Arts.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - First

Morning everyone, I know Im up early for a Saturday but its our 1st challenge today at Penny Blacks Saturday Challenge and we're all very excited.

Our first challenge is: First Penny Black Stamp. We would like to see you using your first Penny Black Stamp that you brought. You can make a card, atc, alterted art, etc.. what ever you wish but it must include your first stamp.

There's also some fabulous Blog Candy up for grab, so do check it out - and have FUN !!!

Well here's my card, and the first PB stamp I brought was 'Buzz In The Air'. I wanted to make something different so made a pocket card. I used yellow card for the base measuring 13.5" x 4.5" and scored the card at 4.5" + 9". Then I cut each end piece to form the pocket. The front inside has been decorated with papers from Basic Grey - Two Scoop. The ends have then been decorated with lace and flowers and stuck down only at the bottom to allow for the pocket. I then finished off by stamping the boarder swirls.

Buzz In The Air has been stamped onto a piece of white card and cut using my Spellbinder in my Cuttlebug. I have coloured the image with tobo pens and waterpen and then stuck a piece of ribbon to the back.

And here's the inside, using papers from Basic Grey - Two Scoops, boarder stamp is G Studio.

Have a great weekend and don't forgot to check out all the work by the other DT members.

Cute Card Thursday + Friday Sketchers

Hi everyone hope your all having a lovely weekend and enjoying our glorious weather. I made a card tonight for 2 challenges, Cute Card Thursday - Christmas and Friday's Sketchers.

I decided to go with tradional colours and choose a Tilda image that i got from a good friend, she's definately going on my wish list, which is getting bigger by the minute, lol.

I got my new Primacolours yesterday and Im sure you'll understand how very excited i was but buy time I got home it was too late to have a play. I got them from ebay for $86 (including delivery) tin of 120. I did however get a little time tonight but am still learning and not sure Im that happy with the outcome, but thought I'd post my card anyway. The colours on my card haven't photographed very well either, will have to try again tomorrow when its light.

The papers are from my stash that I brought last year, sorry cant remember where there from. The ribbon is of course from Poppicrafts and the sentiment from Pink Petticoat.

Enjoy the weekend, TFL xx

Stamp Something - Katharina's Sketch

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. This weeks challenge at Stamp Something is a fabulous sketch by Katharina - which I always love.

I chose to use my new Sugar Nellie Stamp - Sweet Ebony Range: Picking Apples, as I thought they fitted perfectly with the papers. These are some of many new papers I brought yesterday on my shopping trip. They are by PaperCellar - Wedding Range, not something I would have brought 6 months ago, but I seem to have changed my style a bit lately and I'm trying to experiment with new stuff. Its good fun as Im working out of my comfort zone and feel like Im giving myself a challenge, but still having fun along the way.

I've coloured Sweet Ebony with a mixture of pencils and tombo pens - I still need more practice with my colouring , but I guess practice makes perfect - even if I have a long way to go, lol x

The sentiment from Hero Arts and the ribbon of course is from Poppicrafts.

This time I decided to decorate the inside of my card, and have used papers from the same collection. The swirls are from Studio G - pack of 5 for 99p from my local craft shop. This is the first time I've stamped directly onto patterned paper and cant believe I didn't do a bad job of it. The flower and button is from my stash.

And here's the inside:

Have a great evening, TFL x
