Hi to all my friends in the blogging world. Wow its been a long time since I posted but there have been a lot of reasons.

After our wonderful Cruise in the New Year which seems like a life time away now, I had some very sad news. My Dear Grandad who had been fighting Cancer had got worse while we were away. Thankfully I was able to spend a couple of weeks with him on my return before he sadly passed away. Seeing him suffer like he did was not easy but I wouldn't change being at his bedside for those few weeks for the world. Making him comfortable and chatting to him and seeing him smile, when he could was a comfort to us all.

I must say though that his Death hit me hard, even though I was expecting it, I have found it very hard and the past months have not been easy. I was very close to him and thought I would be able to cope with his death as it was expected... but I was wrong. But with the love of my family and my OH I'm manging to get on with life.

And although life is getting easier, and I've been busy sorting out my flat to rent out, I just haven't had the motivation to start doing my cards again yet. I've also had problems with my internet at home too, but I hope to be back soon.

I do want to say a MASSIVE thanks to all the girls at Penny Black for all their support and understanding and to Kath for all the hard work she has been doing while I've been absent, your an angel.

Oooppps !!! I've just realised that I've used the same colour combo and the same papers as my last card...oh what a wally !!! But you know I do love this colour combo for Christmas and especially with this fab image...oh well... hope you don't mind.

Winter Wonderland here in London

Morning everyone....well we woke up to SNOW this morning...which was no surprise as it started last night around 9pm. The kids were excited as they thought...yeah - NO SCHOOL..but I think I was more excited then them.

And here's Molly & Lucy exploring in the garden this morning at 7am...oh how excited they were too.... they just walked out when I took this picture of them....and as soon as they got out there they were running round the garden like loonies...and what a nightmare trying to get them to come in...lol..... they were worse than the kids.

Well thankfully Im off work today, so time to get those Christmas cards finished...Im so behind and am sure Im not the only one....I must get more organised next year.

Penny Black 79 + Sketch Saturday 81

Morning and a happy Saturday to you all.....well the week has flown by.

I realised in the week that I had no where near enough Christmas cards made yet this year and as cards came popping through the door every day from our neighbours......the panic suddenly took over.....so as my OH is the boss and Im pretty much my own boss I booked Friday off and spent most of the day crafting....its was great and managed to get quite alot done...I'll post some pictures later.

Sweet Stamping ~ Colour Combo

Morning everyone, hope your all well. Its a very wet Sunday morning here...and I don't believe I'll be going out much today...so hopefully a little more time to craft after I've done the ironing :( not my favourite chore...although Im pretty lucky my OH is a dab hand at it and doesn't mind doing it...so maybe I can put my feet up today, lol

Sadly I missed their 1st challenge last week as nothing was coming together, you know the way it's supposed to....so gave up in the end ~ sorry girls.

This week they hace a gorgeous colour combo challenge and here's the guideline

You don't have to use Stamping Up! card stock/colours, as long as they are a close match!

Please use a minimum of 3 colours from the colour combo

Well I decided to use all 4 colours....although there's not much Olive green on my card...you can see a little on the backing paper and on Henry Mouse....sorry about the bad picture, its been difficult to get a good one with it being so gloomy today.

Hi Everyone and a happy saturday to you all....yes Im back in the land of Blogging and its good to be back. I can't believe its been 4 weeks since I came on line and created a card.

The last fews weeks have been tough, for those of you that don't know...my dear grandad is not well and diagnoised with cancer and its now terminal. He's had his ups and downs the past few weeks but seems back to his old self this past week....and its so good to see him well at the moment. I must say I struggled a little this week....but after a little thought it came to gather rather nicely....and could resist another christmas card.... So here's my little card....

The little hedgie is from the 'PB ~ Holly Day Critters' and he fitted just nicely for me to get the sketch right....and with a little BG ~ Wassail & Figgy Pudding papers it came together. The red fibre is also from BG ~ Figgy.

Morning everyone and a happy Saturday to you all....wow what a busy weeks its been...those puppies sure are keeping me busy...they had their first walk in the real world last week and it was a little difficult getting them used to the lead, but once off in the park they had a fabulous time....they've been playing around inthe garden this morning and I'll pop back later with some pics for you all to see what little minxies they are sometimes...

Hearts Desire
Now you can interpret this as you please...you can use hearts on your papers, embellishments or you can create a card for someone special...

I created a card this week for two very special people...my parents... who's Anniversary it is today....

The gorgeous red & pink papers are from Poppicrafts (sorry can't remember the make !!) and they came with a sheet of paper filled with hearts....so I cut a couple out and added them with 3d pads. I've used all my favourite things.... lace, charm, flowers, spacers... all from my stash.

Well Im finally back again to join you all for Sketch Saturday and so sorry for the lack of blogging and DT cards over the past few months from me....its been a very busy time and hopefully now Im back on track...and what a week to come back with the very talented Coco's DT week and here's her gorgeous sketch for this week.

Morning everyone and a Happy Saturday to you all...so it's time for another Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Christmas

We know its only August.... but we all need to get started on those Christmas cards... well I do thats for sure. So a nice easy one again for you all this week.

I had to create something quick again this week, as the puppies are being a bit of handful due to the bad weather we've had....so they've not been able to play in the garden much...and their both being naughty in the house....so having to keep my eye on them constantly... the little rascales.

I love love making Christmas cards... I remember when I first starting crafting almost 2 years ago...I started with Christmas cards and it always brings back such happy memories of being so chuffed with myself for a creating my own cards....sounds silly now but it always makes me smile. So now I've started my festive juicies flowing...you may be seeing alot more from now till December...but I think a little Christmas shopping spree is in order....to build up my stash.

I love this adorable kitty and thanks to my good friend Tracy I was able to make my card with him... thanks hun. And ofcourse what better papers than my favourtie festive Basic Grey ~ Wassail and a little raffia.

Oh no I just noticed that whilst rushing to colour this cute kitty I've messed up the bottom balloon...naughty me !!!!

Well its been another busy week with the puppies so I've not had alot of time to craft....so had to throw something together quick last night and here's what I came up with....

I've used my favourite hedgie this week and knew she'd be perfect for this gorgeous colour scheme....and gave her a pale blue hat with a cream flower with a little glitter. Hi everyone, hope your enjoying the weekend... I have no cards to show you yet today but should be back tomorrow with my PB & SS cards... been a bit busy this past week and that's due to our 2 little babies .... well puppies really... and here they are......

Here they are playing the garden this evening... I can't believe they've been with us a week already, how the time flys and its been a pretty manic week too. They're 13 weeks old and can be little minxies sometimes... Molly (on the left) is a little smaller then her sister Lucy (on the right).. but knows how to stick up for herself as Lucy can be a little bully sometimes... but playful with it.... and so adorable too.

I feel like a proud mamma... ok I know they not children but I dont have any of them myself so these are my little babies... and just as much of a handful at times.
Im so pleased we decided to get them both as they are so much company for each other and have so much fun playing in the garden together.

Well I best get going.. I hear them calling for their dinner.

Hi everyone and a Happy Saturday to you all... hope you've all had a great week..... what has happened to our summer hey.. not much sunshine in London last week :( and it looks like there's not much to come either ... roll on our winter vacation in the sun.... Im counting the days.

I managed to find some time the weekend (a first for a while) to do a little crafting and even managed to make my DT cards... oh I know don't fall over in shock.. as if you know me you'll know I always leave things the the last minute.. its not always intensional..

Morning everyone and a happy Saturday to you all... wow I can't believe where this week has gone.. but so glad its the weekend. So I decide to create a sentiment card this week and started with these gorgeous papers from Papermania ~ Blue Vintage Floral.... They do look more fabulous in daylight but I just couldn't get a decent picture this morning.. will try again later.

My swirls are on the paper and I also cut 4 swirls with a puchie ~ Flourish Swirls and glued 2 together to create a larger swirl and finished it with a Pearl...

Penny Black 55 ~ Sketch by Nat

Hi everyone and a happy Saturday to you all.... hope you've all had a fabulous week.

I want to apologise to you all for lack of blogging last week, but my computer/internet gave up completely at the weekend so I haven't been able to get online at home. I ordered a new wireless router which was cheaper than getting the internet connection fixed on my laptop.... which I found out was the problem.... can you believe that the warrenty finished not 1 month ago and PC World wanted to charge me £225 to get it fixed.. so Im sure you can guess what I said to that ... no thank you, well that was my polite response. So I had this brain wave and ordered a wireless router from Virgin Media that cost me £40... bargain !!! But the only draw back was I had to wait for it to arrive.. and its still not here. Thankfully I managed to get my post done at my OH where we have wireless.

So here we are again with another fabulous challenge at Penny Black, I hope you all enjoyed our embossing challenge. Im just so sad I wasn't able to visit you all

Hi everyone, hope your all having a lovely weekend.... I want to apologise for the lateness of my post and if you've read the PBSC blog you'll understand that I've been having a big technical problem with my PC and at one point didn't think I'd get the PB post done for Saturday......

So here I am finally... after a lot of arrrhhh !! and the PC almost going out the window .... which wouldn't have been a good idea... as I wouldn't be here now with my card for this weeks challenge.

Friday Sketchers 51 meets Stamp Something ~ Pink

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good week... well I can't believe I found some time to join in a challenge this week (and not a DT card).

Friday Sketchers has a fabulous sketch this week by the lovely and very talented Carole and so I couldn't resist having a little play ~ and to support my friend too..

I also saw that Stamp Something has a fabulous theme this week ~ Pink~ well how could I resist this one too.... it is my favourite colour, and my friend Marcea is on the DT so thought it was about time I played along as its been forever since I joined on of their challenges.

So here's what I came up with:

I found these gorgeous Pearl Wires (Im not sure thats the right name, lol) at Hobby Craft and then realised after, like a nut I am sometimes, that I have a stash of these in my Floristry toolbox from when I used to do my Flower Arranging... what a wally I am.... all this time hidden in a box for no one to see ... well they've seen the light now, so Im sure you're be seeing more of them again soon.

Morning everyone, hope your all well and had a good week. Well its time for another fabulous sketch by the very talented Jo, but first I'd like to say thanks to everyone who joined in last week, and wow another fabulous response, it was great to see all your gorgoeus creations.

Well after my little shopping spree on Tuesday I picked up some fabulous papers by Papermania ~ Spring Burst.... they were only £4.99 12x12 (30 Sheets) wow I couldn't beleive it either... so obviously I had to make a card with them this week. I apologise though for the poor quality of my pic... the colours are so much brighter and the lime flowers are not so dull.. I really need to sort out my photography skills.

I've used another one of the fabulous WOJ image ~ Maid Charlotte, I've kept her bodice white... but not sure now if it looks ok this way.. didn't want it to be all lilac, oh well its done now. I also recieved my SU order this week and had to have a little play with these gorgeous holders... if that's what you call them, lol.. I'm not sure, so correct me please if Im wrong. My fellow DT buddies have all created some fabulous work again this week ~ so be sure to pop over and take a peek.

Although this card is not really me... as I have been playing with a lot of pink lately, its starting to grow on me.. who know you may see less pink from me in the future.. nah !! only kidding ~ how could I do without my pink creations, lol

so I had to combine my card ~ sorry.... I didn't have the time to make 2 cards, but Im so glad I did as this card just came together so nicely and I'm really pleased with the result and tried a few new little tricks ~ one is the curly bits attached to the bloom ~ thanks to Rach for the inspiration.

All the DT at both challenges have created such wonderful inspiration ~ so why not pop over and take a peek. The sweet Tilda is another of my recent purchases, although she not one of the newest around now.. I do like her, and think she looks quite cute sitting on the lace.

Just Magnolia & A Spoon Full of Sugar

Morning everyone, hope your all enjoying the gorgoeus sunshine.... I've taken a couple of days off work to rest and relax... works been so busy the last 6 months I thought it was time to take a few days off and what a perfect time too with all the sunshine we've had the last couple of days.

With a litte relaxing I've mananged to make a couple of cards.

My first card is for Just Magnolia ~ its their 1st challenge this week, and I wanted to give the DT my support. They have a wonderful sketch to follow by the very talented Donalda... I love sketches, so this was perfect for me. I'm in love with the Pink Passion SU card stock at the moment so couldn't resist using it for my card along with the gorgoeus BG Bittersweet papers ~ which I'm running out... must get some more ordered. I've also used my favourite Pink Tilda with Rose... just perfect all this gorgeous PINK. This card really makes me smile ~ I'm not one to always love my cards, but I really love this one... and hope my special friend does to.

Sad News !!!

Hi everyone

I just wanted to let you all know I won't around much for the next week and so sorry I haven't been about much this week to comment on all your wonderful cards.

Sadly my dear Grandad passed away last night and it has hit our family very hard.. he hasn't been well for a while and I'm happy he is at peace now but it doesn't make it any easier on us all and we will miss him dearly.

The coming week is going to be a difficult one and I'll be spend some time with my parents who are coming down to stay to sort thing out.

Well Im not entirely happy with my card, and have not been feeling great this week with a touch of flu and having to still go to work :( I've not really been in the mood to craft, but of course I didn't want to miss out on taking part on my own sketch. So here it is ...... and I must admit it does look better in real life... my photo skills really need some work.. roll on the daylight, hopefully that'll help !!!

Well I think I've gone a bit overboard with the flowers this week ~ and you wouldn't believe the amount of times I chanced this card and finally came up with this... I had to stop myself from changing it even after I posted it... I was that unhappy !!! I don't know if it the BG papers that don't match the PB image, that I don't like...or theres too much PINK !! but Im afraid I ran out of energy and patience .... so it'll do for this week Im afraid.

I made an Easter Card for my nephew, so have kept it rather plain... so no flowers, no ribbon for me this week... hope its not too boring..

I didn't plan on using pretty much the same layout as last week, so Im sorry .... it just happened that way after I had cut out the image on my nesties, and as the image is rather large I wasnt sure what else to do... and to be honest I was feeling rather tired when I was making this one, so left it as it was.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good day. Well I've taken today off work to rest for another day... so I managed to get a little crafting done, and you'll be so proud of me PBSC & SS girls as I've managed to make my DT cards already for next weeks challenges and almost finished the week after to ... I know !! now pick ourselves up girls... I've not lost my mind...

I also managed to make a card for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge, I can't believe it's been such a long time since I joined in, sorry girls !! And can you believe I've managed to join in a challenge on the day it is launched... maybe I should lay down now....

But how could I resist one of Dawny's fabulous sketches...

And here it is:

So I got out another one of my new stamps from WOJ ~ Maid Charolette, isn't she a darling !! She's been coloured with Pro Markers (what else, lol) and I couldn't resist a litte Rafia... just can't stop using this, it reminds me of my floristry days when I'd make my Contemporary Arrangements and added all sorts of materials, with different textures... oh I had so much fun with all those yummy goodies !! But not as much as my cards !!

Anyway I got a bit carried away with the flowers, so I hope you can still see the sketch.

The papers I found again at the weekend in my stash and are a download from Kay Miller Designs ~ Hey Girlfriend just love these, they are so fresh and always make me smile... just like Charlotte..

Well as you can see I'm still managing to do the inside my cards ~ nothing fancy though...

Truly Scrumptious #1 ~ Sketch

Hi everyone, hope your all enjoying the weekend.

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes, it really is appreciated ~ I've been resting all day.... but thats because yesterday i put myself back to square one.....yes I know.. 'What was I thinking'.. but I thought I was ok and ventured to the PO to collect my 'Poppicraft' parcel, and what a bad idea that was ..... by time I got home I could hardly walk and the pain was unbearable... so I've now decided and been ordered by my OH, not to be stupid again and relax for the next couple of days... or it'll be another trip to the Osteopath...

So after lots of rest yesterday, I had the opportunity today to make a card for:

The sweet little girl is 'Kneeling Willow' from the WOJ ~ Spring Club Kit, which I am so in love with ...... I'm not to sure about my colouring on this one though, i think I added to much of the white highlighter.. oh well it'll have to do.

WOJ ~ Sketch By Katharina + Guest DT Call

Hi everyone hope you're all well and had a good week..... Well its not been such a good week for me as I knocked my Pelvic out of line 2 days ago .... yes I know your thinking OMG how did you do that.... well honestly, I don't know.... but after treatment with my fabulous Osteopath (who used more technical terms) has manged to click it back into place, but not without a little pain along the way. So I've been on pain killers and resting since... but am glad to say I am on the mend, and manged to sit for a while and join in this weeks fabulous sketch by Katharina (although its the longest I've taken to make a card)... But I blame the pain for that ..

I had lots of fun with this one and will definately be using it again ~ thanks Katharina.

And as I received all my wonderful goodies from Katharina yesterday including the Spring Club Kit ~ which is truely wonderful, I couldn't wait to ink them up and have a play.

This little sweetie is one of them.... Isn't she just gorgeous !! ~Willow with flower Basket~

I wanted to try something different for this card and choose a colour scheme I haven't used before but also wanted to try out some of my new papers I brought by K&Co ~ Blue Awning.

I thought at first that the dark blue and brown would look to much, so thats why I added the pale blue to her top and some flowers, and for the first time in a while I am really pleased with the end result.

And I even managed to decorated the inside, although I kept it simple...

The papers are 2 designs of the Scarlet Letter range ~ oh I just love these papers and thought they would be perfect for a Valentines card for my OH. The buttons and brads are all Basic Grey ~ just not sure which range (sorry) !!! The red ribbon is from my stash, but the red fibre is BG ~ Figgy.

I also decorated the inside of this one too.....
